A study week begins on the day of arrival with a group dinner (8.00 pm), followed by an explanation of the programme and the various activities. The office is open for registration from 5.00 pm. The days begin at 5.30 am. There is morning and evening zazen, morning and midday ceremonies, and teisho/lectures in the morning. The afternoon is reserved for a longer period of samu/work or various training sessions/exercises in different forms.

Breakfast is taken in the dojo (meal bowls are required for this), whilst lunch and dinner take place in the fireplace room. A study week ends with a closing brunch (around 12 am) on the sixth day, followed by a brief tidy-up, so that you are free between 1.30 and 2 pm after the tidy-up.
